-Working with city/county, state and federal agencies to
stabilize local neighborhoods.

-In partnership with the city of Griffin to develop a comprehensive
housing plan.

Citizen Review and Comment Period
July 3, 2009 – July 12, 2009
Georgia Neighborhood Stabilization Coalition (GNSC) – NSP 2 Program (NSP2)
As required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD),
GNSC is conducting a 10 day citizen review and comment period.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that GNSC is requesting public comment on its NSP 2
application to HUD.  GNSC is requesting funding under the NSP 2 Program provided
by HUD and authorized under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of
2009.  The purpose of NSP 2 is to address the impact of abandoned and foreclosed
homes in our neighborhoods.  All funds must be awarded and administered in
compliance with the NSP 2 requirements.  

GNSC is a consortium of Georgia non-profit housing developers that include
AFFORDABLE HOUSING ENTERPRISES, INC.  (“AHE”).  

AHE will be using the NSP 2 funds for eligible activities in Spalding County, Georgia.

Proposed NSP 2 Eligible Activities and Amounts for AHE in Spalding County, Georgia:

Purchase and rehabilitate homes and residential properties that have been
abandoned or foreclosed upon, in order to sell, rent, or redevelop such homes and
properties.  Proposed Amount Not to Exceed: $1,290,000.
